Founded in 2018, Tick Boxes’ vision was to change how housing societies are managed in Mumbai. From a few dedicated people, the company has now developed into one of the top providers of extensive housing society management services across encompassing various community groups within its geographical scope.

Today, TickBoxes supports over 100 housing societies and 10,000+ residents across Mumbai, handling everything from billing and maintenance to committee elections and resident communication. Our society management services combine dedicated society managers with purpose-built technology, so every housing society gets both hands-on support and modern digital tools.

Meet the Team Behind Tick Boxes

Tick Boxes is led by three co-founders who bring operations, execution, and financial governance together under one accountable management layer for every housing society we serve.

Sailaja M.

Co-Founder & Director

Sailaja leads operational strategy, organizational growth, and geographic expansion across Tick Boxes' managed housing societies in Mumbai and Maharashtra. She builds the operating frameworks that on-ground society managers work within, along with the governance and financial standards every managed society is held to, from a 40-flat building to a 700-flat township. With a foundation in Economics and Management and over a decade of entrepreneurial and consulting experience, she also drives Tick Boxes' redevelopment-readiness work, helping societies organize their records, accounts, and governance well before a developer walks in. Her work brings structure, consistency, and long-term operational discipline to every society Tick Boxes manages. This helps societies make informed decisions when redevelopment opportunities arise.

Nilesh Sawant

Co-Founder & Head of Operations

Nilesh leads on-ground execution and resident service delivery across Tick Boxes' managed societies. His focus is the society manager role itself: recruiting, training, and equipping every manager with the SOPs, escalation paths, and systems needed to handle daily operations, from vendors, complaints, staff, repairs, and records to resident communication, with consistency and accountability. He works closely with society managers to ensure processes are followed, issues are escalated promptly, and residents receive reliable service across every managed society. His role keeps day-to-day execution organized, responsive, and consistent for residents and committees. He also creates accountability between managers, committees, vendors, and residents, so responsibilities are understood and issues do not get lost effectively.

Puja Mannava

Co-Founder

Puja leads strategy, finance, and organizational development at Tick Boxes. Her focus is the financial and statutory backbone of housing society management: maintenance billing, dues recovery, sinking and repair fund discipline, audit readiness, and compliance under the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act. Before Tick Boxes, she worked in investment banking and strategy consulting, including roles at Axis Capital, Hero Housing Finance, and Temasek. She holds an MSc in Finance from JBIMS and is a Certified Financial Planner, bringing financial discipline and structured thinking to society management. She focuses on building systems that improve financial clarity, accountability, and long-term governance. She helps leaders make informed decisions by bringing financial visibility and process discipline into society management.

Nilesh Sawant

Co-Founder
With over 9 years of experience in Back-End Operations, CRM Development, and Client Relationship Management at ICICI Bank & HDFC Bank, Nilesh Sawant is a results-driven professional. His expertise extends to Training, Key Account Management, and Technology Coordination.

Nilesh has served as the Secretary of his society for the past 8 years, demonstrating a commitment to community involvement and effective leadership.  

Sailaja Mannava

Co-Founder

Sailaja Mannava holds Dual Master's in Economics and Management, bringing 25 years of diverse expertise. She has successfully built and sold two SMEs, played a pivotal role in a tech startup exit, and excels in financial products marketing, corporate quality, financial journalism, research, and startup consulting.

 


Sailaja leads end-to-end product lifecycle management at TickBoxes, leveraging her entrepreneurial skills and strategic acumen.

 

 

Puja Anand

Co-Founder
Puja Anand is a finance professional with a Master's from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. She currently serves as a Strategy Consultant at Hero Housing Finance Limited and has a proven track record in transformative marketing strategies and impactful initiatives at Axis Capital Limited
